RHVFC to host 3rd Annual Guardian of the Pearl Rockfish Tournament
[Rock Hall, Maryland, Feb 29, 2024] The Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company is ‘gearing up’ to host the 3rd Annual Guardian of the Pearl Rockfish Tournament, a three-day event that features a two-day tournament (June 8-9) and a Captain’s Meeting (June 7). Registration opens March 1st!
This action-packed tournament is very important to the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company and the Rock Hall community. It promotes heritage, tourism, and fishing for the town while raising much needed funds to support our organization. This iconic event helps promote local businesses and our unique, time-honored history, and ensures that the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company can continue its mission to protect and serve the citizens of Rock Hall and surrounding communities.
The previous two tournaments held in 2022 and 2023 raised over $50,000 in combined funding and assisted the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company with purchasing life-saving equipment, outfitting firefighters with up to date safety gear, and financing building maintenance projects. The support from the Captains, Anglers and Sponsors have been extraordinary and contributed to the success of the previous year tournaments.
