RHVFC responds to watercraft in distress

On Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at approximately 11:35 AM, the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched and responded to a watercraft in distress call. Boat 7 responded and launched from the Bayside Public Landing along with DNR boats. The watercraft in distress was a kayak taking on water with one person onboard. The person was picked up by a charter boat and brought to Bayside Landing Park where medical crews were on stand by. Ambulance 7 and 71 responded as well as Kent County EMS and the Kent & Queen Annes Rescue Squad. No injuries were reported.
