It is with deepest regret that the Officers and Members of the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire and Auxiliary Company announce the passing of active life member Robert Dennis Kendall.
Denny joined the RHVFC on August 6, 1996. He was a fire police and held position of fire police captain for several years. He held the administrative position of board of director for many years as well. He was a member of the fire company ladies auxiliary. Denny was also in charge of the ways and means fund raising committee for several years, and initiated the Spook Walk which continued for several years under his leadership.
Denny loved working Bikefest and cooking short bread for fish frys for the firehouse, Wesley Chapel and private events. When we held the smorgasbords Denny could be seen and HEARD while working the carry out lines. He loved having “his girls” to direct.
Denny was a member of the Raum Chapel Methodist Church in Skinners Neck. In Denny’s spare time, he was a softball coach and later an umpire for both softball and baseball leagues. His booming voice and loud laugh will be missed by all!
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carol, sons Robbie and Rickie and Daughter Susan, as well as his grandchildren and extended family.
