On Saturday, February 12, 2022 at approximately 10:30 am the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for a marsh mud rescue at Osprey Point Marina. Upon arrival, first responders found an individual stuck knee high deep in the mud on the shoreline of the marsh. First responders assisted the individual out of the mud and escorted them to safety. The individual did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident. The situation was placed under control at 10:47 am. The following agencies responded and assisted with the rescue: Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company, Kent EMS, Rock Hall Police Department, Rock Hall Fire Police, and the Kent County Sheriffs Office. Many thanks to the mutual aid agencies who assisted and responded.
