On Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 9:06 am, the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company, was alerted to assist the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company for a structure fire at 8842 Fairlee Road. Chief 7 was first on-scene with a 30x30garage fully involved with fire.
According to a post on the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company facebook page: Upon arrival crews also found an active fire in-progess inside the detached home. Crews immediately went to work with fire suppression efforts on the house. An interior attack was made.The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office. Sixty (60) firefighters responded to the scene. Companies operated at this incident for approximately four (4) hours. There were no injuries.
